Quarter to 7pm when I heard a knock on the door. I opened it immediately and a smiling Mr. Ramirez showed up.

"You ready Mae?" he asked me, still smiling widely.

"Yes, just let me get my bag and I'm ready to go." I went inside of the room again to get my bag. Tumingin ako sa salamin to check and finalize my look.

I am wearing a long champagne dress with a slit on the side. I curled my hair earlier and finished my look with some make up. Manipis lang ang nilagay ko dahil hindi rin ako sanay mag-lagay ng make-up. Kinuha ko rin ang furry coat ko at isunuot ito.

We're gonna have a dinner with our business partners first, before touring at the Federal Central Plaza cause as they say, maganda raw doon kapag gabi.

After I am satisfied with my look, I went out and face Mr. Ramirez confidently.

Nagtagal ang titig niya sa akin bago nagsalita. I saw how his eyes shimmer with amusement.

"You look wonderfully beautiful Mae." He then offered his hand to assist me, but as a prideful woman that I am, I didn't accept it since I can manage myself alone.

Nagtungo na kami sa dining suit kung saan kami makikipag-kita sa ilang mga ka-sosyo sa negosyo. Nasa same hotel lang naman ito kaya madali kaming nakarating.

I saw a group of people talking and laughing gracefully. Oh! I almost forgot, mayayaman nga pala ang nandito.

Mr. Ramirez hold my waist and guide me inside. I looked at him shocked but he didn't bother to look back.

Hinayaan ko na lang siya hanggang sa nakarating kami sa aming table.

"Patrcik! I'm so glad you're here." isang matandaang babaeng na naka pulang dress ang lumapit sa kanya at bumeso.

"Señora! It's an honor to be here." he smiled at her.

"And who's this lovely darling you're with? Perhaps wife?" she jokingly assumed.

"This is Sarrena Mae Contrazves, an employee from our sister company." the lady then offered her hand for a handshake.

I gave my hand bitterly. Employee huh?

Akala ko ba, I can call you Pat since we've known each other for a long time and well, you treat me as a friend?

Employee lang pala.

And what the hell Sarrena? Bakit naman big deal iyon?

Ugh! This is going to be a tiring night for sure.
