Y/n's POV:

The song Lollipop started
playing on the radio, which reminded me that I had 2 more in my pocket, as Vern and Teddy started dancing to it.
I walked back to where
Gordie and Chris were, I asked them if they wanted them but they politely said no.
In doing sooooo, I gave the other one to Vern
and had the other one myself.
I joined them as they sang,
" Oh lolli- lolli, lolli, lollipop! POP!
Badumdumdum! "
I laughed as we lowered the music and
continued to walk.
" Hey Y/n, do you have one? "
Vern asked as he held up his lollipop.
" Yup! I'm actually gonna eat it now.. "
I replied taking it out of my pocket then unraveled the rapper.
As I put the rapper back in my pocket I saw Teddy continuously gazing at me
from time to time.

Was he also thinking the same thing?
About how
he literally kissed my fucking cheek earlier?
I'm knew for a FACT that
I couldn't get that out of my mind..

" Yeah, I'll eat mine too. "
Teddy spoke as he popped his in his mouth.
" Me 3! "
Vern added with a smile on his face.
" Copy, cat's... "
I smirked, walking ahead of them but I stopped and looked back to see
Chris and my cousin were pretty
far from us.
Both Teddy and Vern looked back too, leading them to shout,
" Come on, you guys, let's get moving! "
Vern shouted getting
their attention.
" Yeah, by the time we get there the kid won't even be dead anymore. "
Teddy added, leading for the 2 boys to get movin
as I heard the song
Everyday by Buddy Holly
played next on the radio.
They started shoving each other playfully while we walked, acting like 5 year olds...
" You guys are such douche bags.. "
I laughed putting the lollipop back in my mouth.

~ Time Skipp ~

We made it
through the tree's and we were
out in the open.
Chris took the lead this time, Teddy and Vern were behind him and I was next to Gordie.
" Hey losers, are we there yet? My legs
are killing me! "
I whined slumping my head on to Teddy's back as we continued to walk.
Also, we all finished eating the lollipops.
" Don't worry, we'll be there in 5 minutes. "
My cousin smiled, making me feel better.
" Yeah, look ahead! It's right there! "
Teddy pointed, I took my head off his back and
there was the bridge.

We finally made it and now I was in between
Teddy and Vern, that's when the song
ended too..
We stopped right before we stepped on the bridge,
when Vern started looking around.
" Any of you guys know when the next train is due? "
Vern said worried as I sat down on one the tracks
to rest my legs.
" We could go down to the Route 136 bridge? "
Chris suggested.
Is he serious? My legs fuckin hurt, damnit!
" What are you crazy? That's 5 miles
down the river.
You walk 5 miles down the river, you gotta walk 5 miles back! "
Teddy made his point.
" I'm with Teddy on this one.. I don't wanna walk
5 miles... Aanddd back.. "
I added, making their attention draw to me.
" Yeah, that could take till dark.
We go across here, we can get to the same place
in 10 minutes. "
Teddy continued his sentence as I stood back up and walked closer to the bridge.
" Yeah, but if a train comes, there's
nowhere else to go!? "
Vern protested, though he's not wrong??.
" No, there isn't. We just jump. "
Teddy replied as I looked down seeing it was pretty far for us to just, jump.
" Teddy, it's 100 feet. "
" Yeah, Teddy. "
Vern added, obviously hesitant
to cross the bridge.
" Look, you guys can go around if you want to.
I'm crossing here and I know for a fact,
that Y/n's coming along too. "
Teddy states making my head turn, since
I heard my name.
" And while you guys are dragging your
candy asses half-way across the state and back,
We'll be waiting for you on the other side,
relaxing with our thoughts. "
Teddy continued as he explained
his point vividly making hand gestures.
" Do you use your left hand or your right hand
for that? "
Gordie added making Chris and I chuckle.
" You wish... "
Teddy scoffed blankly as he started walking
towards me, next thing I knew
I was walking behind him and he had his hand
in mine.
Hearing the rest follow from behind.
So it was Teddy in front, then me, followed by Chris,
Vern down on all fours and lastly
Gordie behind him.
A few minutes later he let my hand go.

" Hey Y/n, check this out! "
Teddy smiled as he started to fool around and
do stupid tricks on the tracks
" Teddy, cut it out "
Chris spoke but of course Teddy didn't listen.
" Teddy, stop fooling around! I'm mean it, you could seriously fall! "
I warned him as I speed up my pace
catching up to him.
" Look! See! "
Teddy laughed, continuing to fool around and that's when he tripped on his own foot,
almost falling face flat
on to the tracks.
But since I was behind him I managed to stop him from falling, tugging the back of his shirt.
" I warned you. "
I stopped and looked dead straight into his eyes
and I could feel that he was breathing
heavily.
No shit he was...
" You okay, man? "
Christ asked catching up to us as I let go of
his shirt..
" Yeah. "
He gulped as he still had his eyes on me.
" Now quit fooling around, and let's go. "
I scoffed taking his hand in mine,
continuing to walk.
" Why are you holding my hand.? "
He blurted out.
" Wouldn't want an idiot like you to fall again. "
I sarcastically smiled taking the lead, oh did I mention? Vern dropped the comb
down..
