𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦 [𝗘𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿]

𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄: 𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞

"What's in the bag?" You asked him. He looked down at his hand almost forgetting what he had brought you. "Oh right." Eren opened the bag and pulled out a glazed donut wrapped in a cloth. "I asked Johnny to help me make some for you. Your mom's recipe book was really confusing for me." He said. You took the donut from his hand and looked at it in the cloth.

Though it only was a donut you couldn't help but feel your heart swell. The small act of kindness was something you couldn't get past, you hadn't had a donut in almost five months which was the longest you ever went without eating one.

"Thank you Eren, that means a lot to me. I'm sure Johnny enjoyed helping you as well." You said with a faint smile on your lips. You placed the donut onto the side table and looked back at Eren who had a ever so small smile on his face as he looked at you. "Your welcome Y/n, it's really the least I could do for you." Eren spoke.

The quietness in the room seemed tense, it was weird. There were never any tense moments with Eren but ever since that day there has only been tense silence. You didn't know what to say to him and he didn't know what to say to you which only made you more tense.

"I'm sorry Y/n." Eren said. You turned your head to Eren and looked at him. "Eren stop apologizing-" "But how can I not? I ruined everything for you. I ruined everything between us over stupid memories that I was supposed to follow." You looked at Eren whose face was in his hands. You picked up that this was something he didn when he was visibly upset.

"Eren I understand, you only wanted to follow the memories because it;s all you knew. It's all you could do." You spoke, "I was such an idiot though I didn't need to follow them." "You didn't realize it." You tried your best to reassure Eren. "I just want you and I to go back to the way things were before I did that." "Things take time Eren-"

"I don't have time!" Eren shouted, taking his face out of his hands to show the tears that were flowing out of his emerald eyes. "You what?" You asked, confused over his meaning that he doesn't have time. "I'm going to die Y/n. I saw it in my future. I'm going to die and there isn't a single way I can stop it."

Your whole body ran ice cold, you didn't know how to react. You didn't know if Eren was just pulling some sick prank or if he was being serious. Judging by how upset he looks you knew he was being truthful.

"How? When?" You questioned. Eren stayed silent, not responding to your question. "Eren, when?" You asked him. "In five and a half years. I've been counting down my own death." He said, his breath hitching from his sobs.

You couldn't believe the words Eren said, was he really going to die? How was he going to die? Why did he have to die so soon?

"That's why I have been trying so hard to have you forgive me, I just want the time I have left to be spent with you Y/n and all my friends. I just want to die a happy man." He sobbed. Your hands gripped the sheets of your hospital bed as you realized how your life really was a roller coaster that only went down from there.

"Eren," You began as you looked at him. His sad green eyes looking at you tears flooding out of them like running sink water. You put your hands on his cheeks and wiped his tears away with your thumbs. His body almost instantly relaxing after your touch soothed him. He missed the feeling of your body on his.

You looked into the boy who taught you how to love other people, the boy who also sought freedom. You realized no matter how much your mind tried to tell you that you hated the boy in front of you your heart would always over power those thoughts with how much you truly loved and cared for him. It broke your heart knowing how you couldn't spend the rest of your life with him. But you wanted to make the time he had left with you count.
