SECOND MALE LEAD SYNDROME

Chapter 2

Avyrain realized that she was in the world of UNREQUITED and learned that she was just a 3rd year student who just transferred

She became the new neighbor of Kaleid and Astrid, the male and female lead of the story that she hates

They even helped her get to school in her first day

"What year are you two in?" Avyrain asked

"We're 2nd years" Astrid replied

Upon hearing this, Avyrain can't help as a wide smile appeared on her face

The story started in the 2nd semester of their 2nd year, that means the male lead is still single

That also means the second male lead and Astrid haven't talked with each other yet

"Then that means I'm one year older than you guys" Avyrain chuckled hiding her inner thoughts

As they entered the school, Avyrain walked in front and face them as she said "Thank you for showing me the way"

She then immediately happily ran away leaving the two confused

"This is my chance to help the second male lead escape the world of suffering, I will use any means so that the two of them would never personally encounter" she confidently stated

As she happily ran, she suddenly bumped into someone's back

"I'm sorry, I was in a hurry so I didn't watch my way" she immediately apologized while holding her nose that was knocked by his broad back

"It's alright" the man replied as he faced her

He had an attractive deep voice so Avyrain was curious of him as he looked at him

Avyrain was in awe, the person in front of her was undeniably handsome and had great features

If looks could kill, this guy's charm could have murder her on the spot

He was super tall that Avyrain had to look up to see his face and she look so small like a middle schooler as she stood in front of him

"Valt, the opening ceremony is about to start" a student called out from a distance

Avyrain was surprised by the name that the student uttered and she immediately grabbed his hand when he was about to turn around

"Are you Valt?, the captain of the basketball team?" Avyrain asked gazing expectantly at him

"Yes, I am" he replied

Avyrain let go of his hand as she cheerfully said "I'm Avyrain, a big fan of yours"

"Ah yeah, thanks" he replied then walked away

"What was that?, a confession again?" the student asked

"She told me she was my fan but she didn't even know what I look like, what a strange woman" he commented

After the opening ceremony, the students immediately returned to their respective rooms

Avyrain was able to make friends given her ability of adapting quickly to new environment

She even hit the jackpot when the friend she made was the manager of their school's basketball team

"There will be club signing this afternoon, which one do you want to choose?" Iris (friend) asked

"I'm not choosing anything, I have greater plans ahead of me" Avyrain replied

"Do you have a part time job or something?" Iris asked

"Not really but since you're the basketball team's manager, what will you be doing?" she replied
