Waiting for someone,
Unaware that they are not coming back,
A heart that aches,
With their absence, a love that's now lost.
A sadness in my heart,
A feeling of loss,
For their return, I do not wait,
For I had no idea, that it was for the last.
The emptiness in my heart,
Growing with time,
For a love that has ended,
And a friendship that has slipped away, like the wind.
