I live on a little catamaran which is currently bobbing about to the rhythms of the Komati River estuary off the coast of Mozambique.

I am primarily an artist - fine art and graphics - and am working hard at being more productive and serious about my art. I occasionally post on my Wordpress blog, Dianezone.

I am given to  occasionally wordsmithing and tend so far to craft very short snippets - glimpses of the inner workings of mind and spirit, but mostly my ever changing and engaging surroundings. I write a travelogue called Dayo1, which is the name of our boat. The blog is designed to be read like a book. So far Chapter 2 is coming on nicely.

I am presently illustrating a book I have written based on the experiences of my little cat called Pooky - a brave mountain cat who went sailing. The series is called Cat under Sail and the first book is called, In the Very, Very Beginning. The books are aimed at 3 - 5 year olds.  I've been inspired to write these books by the recent birth of my first grandchild, a girl named Leela who I would really, really love to meet in person, but because of circumstances I cannot, well for now anyway.
