Call me Awendy, Wendy, or Birdy.  Or Cordelia.

I'm a premed undergraduate at University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Cognitive Science (an interdisciplinary course involving such things as psychology, philosophy, linguistics, and neuroscience) and minoring in Creative Writing.  If you're a Philly person, give me a holler :)

Some of my favorite books are the Abhorsen series by Garth Nix, Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, Bloodchild and Other Stories by Octavia Butler, and The Solitaire Mystery by Jostein Gaarder (probably better known for writing Sophie's World).  My favorite book of all time is Margaret Atwood's The Blind Assassin.

@grammarfreak15 Sorry for long delay in reply, went on a roadtrip with friends for the day!  Have you checked out the official Abhorsen website?  Just google Old Kingdom Chronicles Garth Nix.  Under the tab "the nine gates of Death", there's some random extra info that I couldn't find elsewhere :D and also I hear he's writing a fourth book, a prequel, scheduled for 2013!!  So excited~

@awendybird ((: I'm flattered, lol. YEAH, it's so sad Nix isn't very popular. The whole series was so carefully mapped out (from the Charter, to the Clayr), that I wonder why it isn't as popular as most fantasy books. I personally find it better than the Hunger Games.
