Hi! My name is Des (short for Desmond). I am a 24 year old nursing student from South Louisiana, soon to be the real thing (RN). When I don’t have my nose in a textbook it’s usually in a fantasy novel. I can go into other worlds and forget the real world at times, it’s pretty nice.

Fantasy has been a big part of my life since I could remember. I started reading Harry Potter when I was 9 years old, Lord of the Rings was not too far behind and now I am enjoying the stories of Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games Series, GRRM’s A Song of Ice and Fire, Samantha Shannon’s The Bone Season, and newly published Erika Johansen’s The Queen of the Tearling.

I have tried my hand at several stories in the last few years all ending short due to loss of motivation and ideas. The story I am working on right now (on Wattpad) is a culmination of an older plot I had used previously with a few twists and tweaks. I am certainly looking forward to where the story takes me and quite frankly I hope it takes me into directions I never would have dreamed of.

Please give my story, The Daughter of the Spyglass – Book 1 of The Violet Flame Trilogy, a look, some likes, and some comments and follow me, I love following new people and reading their own stories. I always find peer commentaries are the best critiques out there, so please comment away.

Happy Reading, Writing, and Wattpadding!

@IsisLotus The Order of the Black Diadem and it's sequel seemed very interesting to me and I wanted to be able to keep up with your updates.
