"Less-stuffy" bio:
*waves*  Violet Duke is my pen name (named after my kids, daughter Violet and son Duke).  When I'm not writing, I read at least a book or two a day, watch reruns of tragically discontinued shows, and tackle reno projects with my power tools. I try pretty much anything without reading the directions first. And when it comes to cooking, I'm particularly proud of my 'special edition' dishes that can never be replicated, and basically laugh in the face of recipes. A born and raised island girl, I spend my days without a single pair of covered-toe shoes getting into all sorts of fun trouble in Hawai'i alongside my two cute kids and similarly adorable husband.  :)
