I like to write both YA and NA paranormal stories. I read a variety of books, but I do have some favorite authors: Jim Butcher, Neil Gaiman, Kevin Hearne, Laurell K. Hamilton, Amy Bartol, Karen Marie Moning, Seanan McGuire, SL Jennings, Bella Forrest, and others.

For the record, here are some things you'll find in my writing:

*Girls can learn or already know how to kick butt.
*No character is too precious to not be killed off if it serves the story.
*Magic exists.
*Faeries and the Fae are not cute. Most of them are pretty ugly and mean, and the better they look on the outside, the more heinous they are on the inside.
*Angels and demons both walk the Earth. Neither are all good or all bad.
*Villains don't think they are villains. They think they are in the right, and their choices and actions are made on that assumption.
*Happy endings are overrated, but sometimes they just happen.
