1 year later...

A tall, muscular boy with short, wavy blonde hair gelled up into spikes stood charmingly surrounded by a small crowd of mostly attractive females. He seemed to be the centre of attraction, most of whose audience were the females with dreamy looks in their eyes, oohing and sighing; all trying their best to flirt with him and others clearly wouldn't have minded kissing the ground that the muscular guy walks on.

His skin was shiny and smooth, showing how rich and well off his family probably was. He was extremely good-looking, with side burns and a lop-sided grin and dimples. He wore expensive designer jeans that looked brand new, and a V-neck purple t-shirt with designs of ink blots on it which clung to his skin like a leech, making his muscular arms look as if they were going to burst any moment. Nicole Brown reckoned he was on steroids.

"I leapt off a 50 foot tall wall on my skateboard and landed on the ground with such ease I got no scratch at all. Not even a bruise! Mate, it was epic!" The blonde, muscular guy bragged on loudly for everyone in the crowded, small university bar. He made gestures with his hands to demonstrate just how high he had leapt, and unsurprisingly, all the girls went "ooh", while the guys made some strange whooping noises. A couple of them weren't convinced and just snorted as they could see right through him.

"pffft, please. We all know it's just steroids that make you all muscly. And look at those girls all over you like flies in an overflowing toilet! How pathetic!" Nicky thought and snorted out loudly as she watched the little group of 'low lives' sitting two tables away from her in the canteen. She squeezed the bottle in her hand rather too roughly that it burst. The popping sound it made brought her back to reality and she gave her friends a plastic smile to cover up her embarrassment.

"What's up with you today; you've been looking longingly at them popular guys for ages now!" Alyssa, Nicky's best friend pointed out. She was Filipino with long wavy brown hair that hung loose on her rather broad shoulders and had a nice centre parting. She was very short and slender, but fortunately very curvaceous. Her lips were plump and full, covered in luscious pink lip-gloss. Her narrow eyes had long eyelashes were elongated by an excellent, mass use of mascara and her eye brows were not at all bushy, but even and curved perfectly above her eyes. A white gold necklace with a heart shaped pendant hung elegantly around her neck, crowning the white boob tube top she wore which exposed her DD cup sized bosom. She wrapped her long, thin manicured fingers adorned with large rings around the neck of the cool, sweating bottle of coke and brought it to her slightly parted lips.

"Longingly is the last word I would use to describe it. Look at those girls, I mean, come on! Who the heck is he, anyway?" Nicky muttered the last words to herself while creasing her face up, without looking away from the subject of the conversation. Ever since Harry had dumped her on Valentine's Day, Nicole had become so anti-boys and relationships, and she resented the very male species. She was very hard to get; in fact, she hadn't seen anyone else since Harry.

She felt sorry for all the girls who fell in the traps of the evil, malicious males and ended up with their fragile hearts broken and torn to pieces by the heartless and cruel sex. It was beyond her that they still hadn't learnt a valuable lesson from the example her misfortune had set for them. Even her own best friends, Alyssa, Marie and Pat were all drooling all over boys as if the world revolves around them. She now believed that the word 'male' was taken from the word 'malicious'. She even went on Google translator and discovered that the word 'male', obviously pronounced in a different way, translated from Italian into English meant 'evil, harm, pain, disease, misfortune' and other nasty adjectives. That was no coincidence to her.

Meanwhile, the guy in the purple t-shirt and his group were talking about girls, as most cocky guys do.

"Yeah, she scares me you know," said one guy, "I mean she's so pretty that any guy would want her, yet there's this side of her that just tells you to stay away." He shook all over to show that whatever it is he was talking about was extremely malevolent.
