"It's a poetic dance on an environmental theme, Sean. You'll love it." Emma was saying to Sean, Mickey, and Manny on either side of her. The three of them were trying to convince Sean to be a part of the girls' dance for the school's lunchtime cabaret.
"I don't dance," Sean said, noting wanting to be a part of the dance.
"You don't have to dance. Manny, Mickey, and I will dance. I just want you to be the hunter." Emma explained
"I don't wear leotards." Sean protested.
"We don't wear leotards. Just black, like panthers, in honor of our basketball team." Manny explained
"And because they're endangered. In our piece, we're gunned down by a hunter. It has a strong message." Emma added
"I don't hunt," Sean said. The school bell rang and Sean left the room.
The girls headed out of the room, JT and Toby joining them. "I can't believe Sean won't do it. It's gonna be so good. The audience will be entertained and learn something in the process." Emma complained
"I knew right," Mickey said "It's just a dance,"
"Leotards and learning don't go together. Leotards and laughter do." JT commented
"You're so primitive," Emma said back to the boy
"Who are we gonna get to be the hunter?" Manny asked
"We'll find somebody," Emma said
"Yeah we have too," Mickey said,
"I'll do it," Toby spoke up.
"What?" JT asked
"Really?" Emma asked. Toby nodded "Toby, you're the best!"
"Hey, I do what I can," Toby said
"We rehearse after school in the gym," Emma said
"See you there," Toby said and Manny and Emma left.
"Well, I think it's cool when guys get in touch with their feminine side" JT joked
"Of course you do, JT. Look at you." Toby said
"Ha, ha. Funny." JT said
"You told me you were over Emma," Mickey said, turning to Toby.
"I am," Toby assured her. "I'm just helping out my friends,"
"Yeah, whatever, see you at rehearsal," Mickey said, walking away from the boys.
