I wake up and I see kai looking at jackets.

"what are you doing"I ask as I yawn and stretch my body as I stand up.

"it's cold over there where your mom is , I'm just getting prepared"he says

"I don't have any"I tell him

"elena gave you this , she came like an hour ago , she isn't coming with us , she has plans with Tyler and liv"he says

"oh"I say confused

"something has changed in her because I know damn well damon wouldn't have let her come here"he says as he zips his jacket up

"damon wouldn't even let her come , he probably didn't know she came"I tell him as I zip my jacket up and we eat breakfast.

"you never fail to surprise me kai"I say as I eat.

"oh I know , you love when I cook"he says and I smile.

"god it feels like I've known you my whole life"I tell him

"we have literally known each other for a month now"he says

"I know , it doesn't even seem like it's been that short"I tell him and he nods

"you ready?"he asks and I nod and out the plates in the sink.

he starts writing on a sticky note and then puts it on top of the counter above the sink.

"just a reminder that it's my turn to clean the dishes , you cleaned yesterday"he says and I laugh and we get in the car.

"I'm home"I yell

"finally"damon says as he comes back from the kitchen with a drink in his hand.

"you guys ready?"bonnie says as she comes out of nowhere.

"alright I'm leaving , tell mama salvatore I said hi"elena says as she waves at us and leaves.

bonnie sliced her hand open with a big ass knife.

"Damn , crocodile Dundee called. He wants his knife back."kai says and bonnie rolls her eyes and I smile at kai.

"Yeah , you know, he's no longer a thing, and neither is that joke"bonnie says

"ouch"kai whispers

"let's go get mama"damon says as he comes in with a coat and we get ready.

I open my eyes and I feel the cold surrounded me and I go and hug kai for warmth.

"woah there"kai says laughing and hugs me back

"Well, isn't this a picturesque slice of hell?"damon says.

"You guys go ahead. Kai and I will start the locator spell on the Ascendant"bonnie says

"okay lovebirds , we have a mission"damon says as he grabs my arm and I blow kai a kiss.

we start walking towards the salvatore house and damon looks at me wierd.

"what damon"I ask

"isn't that elena's jacket?"he asks

"yes , she came by this morning to give it to me"I tell him and he stops

"why would even think of going to that house"damon asks

"look damon I don't know , ask her when we get there"I tell him as I open the doors and I look at the house
