Many things in the past have hurt you
Don't cling onto them for they'll choke you
Trace deep down to the bitter root
And cut it out before there are shoots

Face the hurts with the Lord's Truth
And by His Blood cleanse the root
Forgive them all and be merciful
The outcome will certainly be good
