"I'm home!" I yell as I open the door
I close the door then when I turn around I feel unfamiliar hands on my waits
"boo" the unknown says but then I recognize the voice
"ah!" I yell at the top of my lungs then turn around to face nick
"don't do that!" I say dropping my bag on the little table
"didn't you miss me?" he frowns
"not when you do that" I laugh
"fine, your mom in the kitchen" he says
"okay, and its good to see you again, you'll have to tell me about New York" I say
"of course," he says as he follows me down to the kitchen
"hi mom" I say as I enter the kitchen
"where were you last night?" she asks
"I went to the mall with maya then we went to her house and then we fell asleep I'm sorry I would have told you" I lie
"its okay, next time" she smiles while flipping a pancake
"did you see nick is back?" my mom asks
"yes, he scared me when I came in" I laugh
"ill yell at him later" she playfully rolls her eyes and I laugh
"do you have any plans for today?" she asks
"no, I don't think so" I say because I don't
"movie marathon day then" she smiles, and I return it
"I'm picking the first one" I say running into the living room to see nick already watching a movie
"nick!" I yell
"hey, I got here first slow poke" he says
"fine" I say jumping onto the other couch
"so how have you been?" he asks
"I could be better" I sigh
"whys that?" he asks
"I don't know just boy trouble I guess?" I shrug
"if anyone does treat you right, let me know cause Ill kick their ass" he says
"I will" I try not to laugh
"good, now... this movie is boring" he sighs
"Lillie!" nick yells
"what do you want!" she yells back
"I'm hungry!"
"I'm coming stop!!"
"okay okay" he puts his hands up surrender
"hey foxy lady" he winks as she comes into the room
"nick stop it!" she tries not to smiles as I burst out laughing
"let's watch clueless" my mom says as she sits next to nick
"only if I can get food" he says as she laughs
When the movies on I look over at my mom and nick looking at each other laughing wishing that I could get that with chase someday, without our pasts
