Sometimes I doubt whether or not being 'one of the boys' is a good thing or not. It has its perks and disadvantages, some disadvantages overrule the perks however.

The perks would have to be the fact that you get a free show of shirtless boys whenever you're over their house, the second being that they're not bitchy and won't tell everyone your secrets.

But then, the disadvantages. One would definitely have to be how hard it is to get a boyfriend. I found that out today, because Clark is a dick and doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut.

And it goes a little like this:

Every morning before school my large group of friends stand around this huge oak tree out the front of the school. It has the perfect amount of shade for hot days and is also a great pillow to catch up on winks when you forgot to go to sleep early the night beforehand.

But, at the moment, it's definitely not the place I want to be.

As per usual, Tyler and I arrived together to school as a couple, holding hands and acting stupidly in love. I'd always wondered when or if people would see through the huge façade we put on. Turns out, it isn't even that hard.

But the person who would see through the façade was someone I was entirely not expecting.

This is the guy who eats chicken and jam on a sandwich we are talking about, after all. Of course, he is none other than the Clark Fletcher - possibly the funniest, weirdest and stupidest boy you will ever meet. The guy with all the weird attributes packed into one lean but muscly body with a killer smirk and tousled blonde hair. I would never think of him 'that' way anymore, but it is hard to admit that he isn't a ladies man and attractive to the eye.

Just like most of the other guys, also. They breed them pretty here in Octavia.

Other than Nate and Emily, Clark Fletcher is probably the only guy who I can sit down and have a decent, meaningful conversation with. Yeah, I know what you're thinking. Clark? Crazy Clark? Yeah, he's one of my best friend's and trusty with secrets. I guess that's why I thought it would be a good idea to date him.

"Nova, Tyler," he nods, walking towards us and away from the tree that he was leaning up against beforehand. His hard is messier than normal and his bright blue eyes are dancing with mischievousness. "My favourite couple."

I gulped. Clark obviously knows what is going on. "That's us," I plastered on the biggest, fakest smile and patted Tyler's hip with my hand.

"Oh, cut the act," he rolls his eyes, "I'm not stupid. Although, some people think I am," he taps his chin with his finger in thought. "Any who, I just want to know why you thought it would be a good idea," he smirks proudly.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Tyler and I aren't the best of the best actors, but we definitely aren't horrible. I know that Clark has known and been friends with us for many years, but I didn't think we were that transparent.
