“So, how’s everything?” Ashley said as I tried to balance my phone on my shoulder and the box I had in my hands while opening the door to my dorm at the same time; summer was hectic. I didn’t do anything aside from packing, so it was a bore. I didn’t see the guys after graduation which kind of sucked, but Jase promised that once we got settled into our dorms that we would hang out and I really wanted to, I missed the crazy boy!

“It’s nuts!” I said as I chuckled while setting the box down and going back outside to bring the other boxes in, my room was alright, for one person it was perfect. The walls were bare and there was a single bed, along with a bathroom and a small kitchen area, so a mini fridge and a counter, no stove of course. But I would eat out mostly, I’d imagine. “The people here are so passionate and dedicated to what they do, I just arrived yesterday and I barely slept because of people practicing their instruments. The girl next door has a cello, and she practices literally 24/7.” I said with a small eye-roll “But the energy here is great! And don’t even get me started on this gorgeous city!” I said as I eyed the view from my window, the yellow cabs were everywhere and tall trees nearly blocked my view of the skyscrapers in the distance. It was breathtaking. “How’s L.A.?” I asked and I heard her chuckle

“I love the school, even if the people are kind of snobby, though.” she said with a small groan “I miss you guys!” she exclaimed and I chuckled “I even miss stupid Jase!” she said, which caused me to laugh “Have you seen him, yet?” she asked and I cleared my throat as I set another box on my bed, and went back outside for probably the fifth time.

“No, but when we have time we’ll hang out.” I said and I heard her sigh

“You’re so lucky you get to have at least one person that you know close to you.” she said, whining “I know nobody here and it’s starting to piss me off.” she grumbled “Snobby rich kids.” she muttered and I laughed, there was a moment of silence before she spoke “Have you talked to Chase yet?” she asked and I sighed deeply

“Not since he came to my house, no.” I said as I ran my hands through my hair, we hadn’t texted and he hand’t called, but I sort of understood, he was busy. But I did miss hearing his voice, though.

“He’ll call soon, don’t you worry.” she reassured and I smiled softly “If he doesn’t I’ll call him myself and threaten to call his balls off.” I cracked a laugh as I shook my head

“You wouldn’t do that.” I said and I heard her giggle

“You know I wouldn’t, it’s just to scare him.” she said and I rolled my eyes “Boys and their pride and all.” she muttered and I scoffed

“True that!” I said with a laugh “So, listen. I have to go because I have a ton of stuff to unpack and if I don’t get started I’ll never finish.” I said and I heard her whine “Email me, text me, call me, whatever!” I said

“Absolutely girlie!” she exclaimed “See ya!” she said, before the line went dead

“See you.” I whispered, even if she’d hung up already.

“Hi!” the girl that had knocked on my door said as she smiled brightly at me, her blue eyes were mesmerising “I noticed you moved in here, sorry I didn’t introduce myself earlier but I was just so busy practicing my cello and all!” she said as she waved her hands frantically as she spoke, I giggle as I stepped aside and let her enter my dorm, she looked around and smiled at all my pictures

“So, you’re cello girl?” I said with a laugh and she looked at me confused before laughing also

“I’ve been called worse, so…” she said with a sigh but then extended her hand out to me “I’m Zoe.” she said and I smiled at her softly
