**a month later
Betty*walks to the door of the blue and gold and hears moaning* what the hell *opens the door* oh *sees Jughead and some girl making out*
Jughead*jumps up* Betty, I didn't know you were coming here today
Betty: no it's fine, continue on I should get home anyway *walks out*
Random girl: Juggie come back
Betty*hears the girl call him Juggie and starts to cry*
Jughead: Fuck off and don't call me that
Betty*runs outside*
Jughead*curses under his breath and follows her*

**outside
Betty*sobbing in her car*
Jughead*starts to walk over and then sees Toni*
Toni*runs over to Betty's car and gets in*
Jughead*to himself* that's what she needs, her best friend *turns around and walks back inside*
*in Betty's car*
Toni: Betty don't cry
Betty: I'm sorry-
Toni: no no no no no
Betty: what?
Toni: your a bad bitch Betty, so no more crying over Jughead Jones. He's a douche and doesn't deserve your love. One day he's gonna see your name, hear your voice and by god it will wipe his stupid ass smirk off his face. Your worth so much more than you give yourself credit, you said it yourself only a month ago
Betty*hugs Toni* you really are irreplaceable
Toni*laughs* yeah just remember that when you get to Broadway or become a famous writer or actress or whatever you put your mind too
Betty*smiles* Toni you know I'll never forget you
Toni: I do Betty cooper

**the end of senior year
Betty: this doesn't feel real
Toni: what doesn't feel real?
Betty: everything, we graduated earlier, then off to college. We have our whole lives ahead of us
Toni: sure as hell we do
Betty*giggles*
Toni: but tonight, just one last highschool party
Betty*pulls up* Toni, are you sure about this?
Toni*getting out* think of it as closer, besides we're already here
Betty: yeah your right

**at the party
*everyone dancing and just having a good time*
Betty*gets an email* oh my god, I got in
Toni*yells* BETTY COME HERE
Betty*shoves her phone into her pocket* Coming!!! *walks over to her*
Toni: me and Cher wanna discuss something with you
Betty: what's up?
Toni: since we're all going to NYU, I thought we could get an apartment together!! Don't you love that idea
Betty: umm yeah, it sounds great
Toni: I know I can't wait, oh I see someone I know. Catch you later Betts

Betty's POV:  as Toni walked away, I felt a weight settle on my chest and my mind.  I felt terrible lying to her, maybe I wasn't but giving myself false hope. I got into my dream school, I've been pining after it since I was 4. I knew what I wanted but then I saw an acting scholarship, I applied on a whim. I never thought I would get in, I've always wanted NYU or Stanford. Learning that Toni was going to NYU sealed the deal for me but now it's feel like so much more is possible. I've realized I've spent so much for my life planning to live that I haven't actually lived.

**later that night
Betty* exhausted* Toni I need to talk to you tomorrow
Toni: about what? Apartment decor? Cher snags red and lots of it
Betty: uh yeah
Toni: something wrong?
Betty: Just tired
Toni: Me too, I finally sober up
Betty: well I haven't had a bit to drink so drive you home?
Toni: actually I'm gonna stay the night at Cheryl *blushes a little*
Betty*thinks* shit
Toni: so I'm good
Betty: oooooh your staying with your girlfriend
Toni: OMG stop it
*they both giggle*
Toni: meet you at pops tomorrow?
Betty: of course *walks away and gets in her car*

Betty's POV: before I could even think, i hit dial

Betty's phone: ring ring ring
Betty*to herself* maybe he won't pick up
Jughead*answers the phone* Betty?
Betty*awkwardly* Hi Jughead
Jughead: not that I'm complaining but why are you calling me?
Betty: umm so could you meet me at pops?
Jughead: when?
Betty: like now
Jughead: I'm on my way
Betty: thanks Jug *pauses* head Jughead
Jughead*laughs lightly and hangs up*
Betty*shoves her phone in the passengers seat* why am I so stupid?
