Blank space and half written lines

Occupy my notebook

Tear stains dot the J’s and loop the Q’s

X’s terrorize the broken phrases

Our actions were connected from the start

Every idiotic moment I had, you were there

Every breakup, hook up, shattered heart

You shot out of this world

 On the back of Molly’s crystal

Landed in the atmosphere

Only to return to the dirt

They say the hurt will fade

And I’ll move on

That the tears will stop

And a smile will return

That the mourning will heal

And life will go back to normal

But I’ll never breathe again
