My Religion :: Poetry

Religion is strange.
It's meant to make you happy.
But there are so many rules,
regulations,
"You can't do this",
that for some, it makes everything worse.
Who's to decide who goes to Heaven?
Heaven is not for what you believe.
Heaven,
Hell,
Purgatory?
My religion is simple.
I try to make myself proud.
I try to make myself feel good.
I stick by how I feel is right.
I believe in Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory.
But I'm not Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or anything.
I don't need to believe in a god to go to Heaven.
Heaven is bliss, and bliss is not dictated by man.
Man hasn't ever experienced bliss, I think.
Not the permanent kind.
Which is why I try to be my best, 'cause that's all I got.
