'We do not seek the truth. We seek a beautiful lie that pretends to be the truth'
So here goes,
Truth has a strange way,
To come into play,
Just when our eyes get accustomed to see in the dark that we have been kept in,
It comes forth with a bright torch, blinding all our built up faith into oblivion.
Truth, sometimes, can be a little sadistic,
Given, to reveal itself, the exact moment it chooses to pick.
Maybe Truth gets a kick out of coming about,
When it knows it will hit us hard and knock us out.
Even though there are blankets of lies around our form,
they still make us feel safe and keep us warm,
Truth rips them all apart, leaving us bare,
And thus, truth seems really unfair.
So even though Truth is simple and plain,
And more often than not, only causes pain,
It is something that a lie can never be for sure,
It is powerful, complete and pure.
