The only thing that can be predicted about life is its unpredictability. Rudyard Kipling rightly called both 'Triumph' and 'Disaster' just the same. But the unpredictability does keep us from falling into a rut, and makes our life both extraordinary and egregious.
So here goes,
Life does not flank our path with milestones,
We never know which mile may be our last,
While we think we have many miles to go,
They might actually be receding fast.
Just when we think we are succeeding in deceiving life,
It beats us at our own game,
Just a little bump in the road is enough to make us realize ,
That life, we cannot tame.
Just when we think our endless wait is over,
Life proves us wrong and hits us hard,
And when we least expect it, It puts an end to our wait,
Again catching us off guard.
To show us that it always has the upper hand,
Life has its own unique ways,
Just when we look forward to the long journey ahead us,
It reminds us that, numbered are our days
