Nanatili muna ako sa mansion ng mga Fontana pansamantala para sa trabaho, nang mabantayan ko nang maigi ang loko. Hanggang hindi pa kumikilos si Gerardo hindi pa pwedeng kumilos ang Fiamme dahil hindi pa sigurado kung sino ang mga katulong/kasabwat niya dito na nakapasok sa loob ng Fiamme. Kapag nalaman ko kung sino man yun, kahit kilala ko pa, puputulin ko isa-isa ng dahan-dahan ang mga daliri niya at saka papatayin, hindi ko kalian man mapapatawad ang mga taong traydor.

“Red!!”  I snapped back to reality nang makita ko si Gray na halos magtu-tumbling na para lang mapansin ko.

“What happened?  You seemed off today.” He eyes told me he’s worried.

“Wala.” I said flatly. He just stared at me a questioning look for a while then shrugged it off and looked away.

“Let’s call it a day?”  He stood up from his desk full of paper works.

“Red, Mark, Allen, pwede na kayong magpahinga.” He motioned me and his two associates away. I watched the two of them get out of the room, when someone I knew entered it.  He was on his mid-fifties and his hair is starting to have white streaks on it, his face was wrinkled but his smug look never leaves his face even as he grow old. He was the man who was responsible for where I am now; he was the one who trained me to be a hitman.

“René, Nice to see you again, How are you?”

“Buhay pa din naman Boss.” He grinned at Gray and turned to me when he noticed me, standing beside the door.

“Nagkakilala na pala kayo nitong si Red? I’m glad magkasundo naman kayo.” I snorted when he grinned at me. Eventhough I tried my best to ‘respect’him, if that’s what you call it, he’s still as sarcastic as ever.

“Get to the point René, why are you here?” I said flatly sabay humalukipkip.

“Naku naman. Hindi ka na nabago. Hindi ka ba nagkakaproblema dito Boss?”

“Well, she’s always stubborn, arrogant and snobby to everyone…”  Sige pagkaisahan niyo pa akong dalawa, masama na kung masama, hindi pa rin magbabago ugali ko.

 

“…But still like her.”  Gray flashed his signature smile as he finished the sentence. My heart was stopped for a moment before René interrupted.

“Yan nga ang ipinunta ko dito. Narinig ko ang pagtanggi mo sa anak ni Amando. Nakumbinsi mo nga ang anak niya pero hindi ang ama. Narinig ko, sa darating na Assembly ng mga leader ng Mafia Organization, ipapakilala na niya kayo kahit tumutol ka pa.”
