Lucy POV

We all stood outside the palace gates. FairyTail, SaberTooth, Lamia Scale, Mermaid Heel, Blue Pegasus, Red Ore, Quatro Cerberus, everyone.
I looked on either side, we had been split into squads. Not by power, but compatibility. I reached for the plan paper, making sure everyone was in their groups.
"Squad 1 - Front Lines :

Squad 5 - Back Up/ Emergency:
Everyone Else. "
I nodded, satisfied. Everyone was where they needed to be. I watched as the Back up walked into the palace awaiting orders. I soon felt someone grip my shoulder. I turned, only to see a stern, yet relaxed Natsu.
"Guess we're on the same team Lucy."
I turned around to face him, unimpressed.
"Natsu, I'm fully prepared to work with you in unison, but this is a mission. I am not here to make up. If the king hadn't of recommended my position here, we wouldn't even be in the same group."
He backed away, standing behind everyone. I heard Rufus' sly whisper.
"Ouch. Harsh."
I had to hold myself from grabbing his neck. I saw Milli walk up to me nervously. I looked at her, pity and sympathy in my eyes.
"What is it Milli?" I asked, bringing her closer.
"Lucy, I don't think I should be the leader in my squad. They all are better wizards than me."
I hugged her tightly, ignoring her request.
"I know your power Milli. You just need to show it to me. I know it's pretty powerful." I whispered in her ear. I could just imagine her eyes widening.
I don't know your ability Milli. You need to have more faith in yourself.
"Ok then Luce! I'll show you what I can do!"
She walked back to her squad, determination written clearly in her eyes. That's the Milli I know and love. Before I could admire her anymore, a siren went off, the sound deafening. I saw a Royal Soldier run towards me, whispering in my ear.
"The dragons are in sight Lucy. Contact in one minute max. Predicted speed, 300 mph minimum."
What he said surprised me. 300 mph minimum? That's fast for a dragon. I only nodded at him.
"Understood."
He ran back to his ranks, leaving us, the main forces, to hold off the front off the raid. After a few seconds, we all saw large, blood hungry
beasts with wide wings, each flapping at their own pace. I saw Natsu's amazement.
"Dragons.....Actual Dragons....."
Before we knew it, the first one was close by, its mouth opening wide.
"Squad 1, 2, 3, and 4, ADVANCE!!!"
