Do you look up at the sky and sigh
Thinking of all the things you had,
That you wanted,
And never had the chance to grab?
Memories revolve around you, undaunted they stand
Questioning your heart
Like they questioned your mind
You feel as if the World is against you
As if time has stilled
And you are left
Standing in a pool
With the churning waters
Of memories
You think back,
What if I had done this Or what if I had stayed
The doubts of the past
surrounding you, willing you to look back.
The truth of reality begs you to hold on
Those sighs will stop
The past will be gone
