I was finally home not the home me and Willie once shared but a brand new home for me and my children. I've been going to the doctor and getting my monthly checkups and treatments. I haven't seen Willie since the day at the hospital and honestly it hurted me to sign those papers but I just couldn't hold on to him anymore

Speaking of him I heard he has a new girlfriend. And for me I have a friend named Brandon. And he respects that I don't want a relationship

He's actually a good person. He treats my kids good he treats me good. It just feels to good to be true

"Mommy"

"Can daddy come over"

"What did I tell you"

"Daddy can't come over here anymore we can only see him through granny"

"Exactly now don't ask again"

"Sorry mommy"

"It's okay now go take your shower and get ready for bed time you have school in the morning"

"Okay"

"Your so good with kids" Brandon said coming up behind me and kissing my neck

"I know" I smiled while washing dishes

"You know your going to beat this right"

"Yes I have faith" I smiled then frowned a little bit and started to tear up

"What's wrong"

"I'm just happy to be here"

"Me too"

Then there was a knock at my door

"Who is it" Brandon asked while I stayed in the kitchen

"Liv" he called

I went to the door and there was Willie's mom

"Willie ain't here and it's not his day to get the kids so what is it"

"I just wanted to talk to you"

"If it's about Willie then I don't want to hear it"

"Just heard her out" Brandon said in my ear

I sighed then walked off

"Come in" he said to her as she looked at him stank

"Can you go upstairs and check on the kids" I asked him

He nodded his head

"So what is it"

"My son-

"I don't want to hear about your son okay he wanted her to sign those papers and I did. You never even liked me so if you think that getting us back together is going to work then your wrong"

"He only did it because you cheated"

"Get out"

"Wait I'm not done"

"Yes your are" I said walking her to the door

"He didn't take the papers to the judge so y'all are still married"

"What"

"He didn't really want the divorce"

"But you did"

"I know and I'm sorry"

"I don't need your sorry you only feel bad because I have cancer. But that's fine because I'm going to make sure those papers get finalized" I said before closing the door in her face
