One summer love ......
I was there with my shadow,
caught you staring the rainbow.
I came near to your site,
to catch your eyes so bright.
But someone reached a hand to you,
smiling and enjoying the scenic view.
I stepped back and was shattered,
gazed away and bewildered.
The next day I saw your smile,
I was happy and flew high for awhile.
The next day you passed by,
you smiled and said goodbye.
I sighed but still glad.
You're the best thing I never had.
