“Charley... Charley... Charlotte!”
“Huh?” I snapped out of my trance and turned around to see my mother, Jayne, and her boyfriend, Andy, who were standing together, looks of sympaphy placed upon both of their faces.
“We really need to leave now, love.”
I nodded and sighed before picking up my small suitcase containing the few remains of my possessions that had not yet been sent halfway across the world.
Taking one last glance at my childhood home, I sighed once again before walking out of the front door to join my mum and Andy.
“Let’s go.”
