Diane's POV*
I woke up late as usual, Shawn texted me, he was coming around 2:00pm, and it's 12:30pm. I manage to get up and shower. Putting on light blue jeans, and white sweater, I head over to my vanity just to plop makeup on my face.
"Diane, you should invite Shawn over for dinner tomorrow" mom smiled
"Uhhhh....yea sure" I fake smiled
"Well-"mom was cut off
"Shawn's here gotta you know go, bye love you!" I got up to kiss my mom goodbye
Walking outside Shawn waited for me, he opened up his moms black door to the car, letting me get In first, he scooted next to me, leaving me not lonely.
"Hi I'm Danielle, Shawn's mom, Shawn told me a lot of great things about you" Danielle smiled but Shawn gave her a death stare
"It's nice to meet you" I smiled back
"I'll drop you kids off by the ice rink, I gotta head over to Johs café, so meet me over there around 5:00pm"
I thank Danielle taking me, then I continued to follow Shawn to the ice rink, we sat down and put on our skates. Shawn and I got up, heading in the ice, I put my hands out! Managing not to fall. The clumsy Diane I am, I slip falling into Shawn's arms.
"Diane I think you have an obsession with falling on me " Shawn winks beginning to laugh, he looks into my eyes revealing his little dimple that only appears when he smiles hard. I feel myself blush, he starts to lean in for a KISS but then BOOM, accidentally a couple bumped into us, making us fall on the ground. I fell right on top of him, I laughed then got up to help him regain balance. Through the whole skating adventure he held my hands so I wouldn't fall, the he was trying to teach me to skate. He let go of me, trying to see if I could mange, starting to slip, his hands go around my waist keeping me up, I feel my cheeks burn red, trying so hard not to smile. It was around 5:00pm so we headed up to Johns café, Shawn's dad John owned the place. When we walked in, it was like a fancy diner. Glass windows, white, black, red everywhere, chandeliers hanging, and beautiful music playing. Shawn and I took a seat at booth, we received a menu looking through all the choices.
"Mmmm...i know what I wanna eat" Shawn smiles running his stomach
"Fries or a burger?" I questioned
"Well the burgers are huge here, and we can get unlimited fries, so I say we share, it's up to you?" Shawn itched his head
"Sounds good, but let's get bacon on the burger" I begin to smirk
"Mmmmmm....bacon, your my kind of girl" Shawn teased
" hi Shawn, and hello, you must be Diane, that special girl Shawn was telling us about, we'll I'll be your server I'm jacky" jacky greets me and watches Shawn as he turns bright red "what can I get you two to drink?" Jacky pulls out her notepad
At the same exact time Shawn and I both say "caramel ice coffee" we look at each other in disbelief, we turned to jacky who was cracking up.
"I'll be back with your drinks" jacky starts walking away whispering "I smell match in the air"
Drinking ice coffee, eating a bunch load of fries , and a huge bacon cheese burger, I was practically stuffed. Reaching for the last fry, Shawn and I hands connect making it awkward, he picks up the fry and hands it over to me, I split it in half, sharing it with him. It was around 7:45pm, Shawn and I head to see the Christmas tree, colors stream everywhere, Shawn grabs my hands and says "wow what a great day, I get the two most beautiful views right now" Shawn's looks to me smiling
Blushing like crazy I manage to spit out " wanna come over for dinner tomorrow"
"Yea! Just what time" Shawn looks into my eyes
"6:30,7:00pm" I reply
"So it's a date" Shawn winks
"If you consider my mom, and her boyfriend around, as a "date" then yea" I laugh
"Ooooo...double date" Shawn breaks into laughter
Heading into the car after a long night, Shawn's walks me to my doorstep, looks into my eyes one more time, releasing me from the hug he says
"Tomorrow" Shawn winks
"Tomorrow " I wink back blushing
