Vegeta placed a warm hand on the young girls shoulders while looking down at her

"I should get going now"

Vegeta began walking in the direction of the cottage, Gine assumed he would take off from there

She quickly rushed over to his side and stopped him on his way

"No wait- can you stay here a little bit longer"

Vegeta peered back unamused, he obviously saw no reason to stay in the broken fields any much longer than he had intended too

Gine snapped her fingers and pointed at the small basket she had brought over earlier, it stood by an untouched tree about less than a mile away

"I have food for us too eat" said Gine gleeming up at the prince

"Fine" Vegega huffed out whilst walking over to the delicious smelling basket that had been used to persuade him

The two Saiyans sat down by the clean fields to take in the mouth-watering dishes Chi-chi had prepared for Gine earlier

Vegeta agressivly chomped down on the fried chicken and noodles presented infront of him

Gine stared back at the prince in shock, she might be half Saiyan but the young girl never felt like she had the same appetite as the rest of her Saiyan family and friends

Vegeta hadnt realised this yet but Gine had a special reason for keeping him behind a little longer

"Vegeta can i ask you something" she said looking down shyly at the ground

Vegeta managed to spit out some words inbetween the various mouthfulls of rice he had been downing for a while

"Sure" he mumbled

"I was wondering if you could..."

Vegeta stood staring at the young Saiyan girl as she nervously fiddled around with her fingers

"If you could tell me about planet Vegeta"

The prince gulped down the final pieces of noodles in his throat while pushing aside the plates of dishes around him

Gine looked back at the thinking Saiyan, she could almost see a speck of happiness in his eyes from her asking about their home planet

"What do you wanna know" he finally said after a couple of quiet seconds

"Well i just want you to tell me what it was like, i mean my mom never told me anything about it and my brothers barely know about were we come from too"

Vegeta breathed deeply out of his nose as he slowly scootched over closer to Gine

The prince looked away at the far sunny distance as he spoke solemnly about the planet he once called home

"It was something you would call a red planet, we didnt have grass or lakes like you do here, instead we had hard red floors that felt like stone along with dark purply skies.

The buildings were made out of a hard white material that stretched out making all the buildings look tall and breathtaking, that of course if you were from an elite class family, a lowerclass one would live in a much less extravagant building"

It took Gine a couple seconds to take in all the information she had suddenly been given, she closed her eyes in attempt to picture the scenario Vegeta had so vividely described to here

"And the people- uh i mean the Saiyans, what were they like"

Vegeta took one look at Gines face and looked down at the ground, almost like he wasnt sure if he wanted to tell the young girl this part of the story

"The Saiyan race was unlike anything you know, we were a brutal army, pirates of the galaxy they used to call us"

"Pirates of the galaxy?" Said Gine to herself confused like

"What does that mean" she asked

Vegeta once again looked away troubledly

"Our sole purpose was to destroy, we would conquer planets, kill of the habitats and sell the planets to the highest bidders"

Gine looked back at Vegeta with a pale face, she had created a fantasy in her mind that her race was some sort of happy family that lived peacfully on their own beautiful planet

"I remeber being told as a kid that you were the one to suggest my name, because it was my grandmas" Gine said quietly fidling around with the grass next to her

"Thats right"

"Can you tell me what my grandparents were like"

The princes eyes met with hers and for a split second Gine could spot the shimmery tears in his sharp black eyes

Vegeta cleared his throat, he had never talked about his people, his home, his childhood for such a long time with somebody outside planet Vegeta

"Well your grandfather Bardock was known for being a lowerclass warrior, he had a reputation on embarking on dangerous missions and always returning back half alive, and yet he kept up the stupid cycle of nearly getting killed, recovering and nearly getting killed again"

"And my grandma Gine?" The young girl asked softly

"She was never much of a fighter your grandmother, she was known to be a great chief for the lowerclass villages. I had met her once as a kid, she was a kind woman, always looking out for Radditz when he would get injured"

"She sounds amazing" Gine said with glistening eyes

Vegeta looked back at the half eaten food inside Chi-chis home-made basket and debated whether to start chomping down the food again like earlier

Although Gine cut her off before he had the chance

"I wish i could have met her" she said even quieter than before

"This might be a good time to tell you a silly myth the Saiyans used to have"

Gine was suprised to hear those words come out of Vegetas mouth, he never seemed like the type of guy who would listen to things like legends or myths

But never the less he continued with the awaited story

"On planet Vegeta there once was a myth that when a child is born and it takes on the name of a deceased relative, it would take on the soul of the person, meaning that the passed away would live inside of you"

A shiver went down Gines spine, she wasnt sure if she believed the old wives tale, but in a way it made her feel a lot calmer

The thought of her loving grandmother being inside of her, leading her way reasured the young Saiyan girl

"Although the myth might not be true" said Vegeta as he saw Gines facial expressions to the story

"One thing is true, you look exactly like your grandmother did"
