The pale haired boy turned to you after everybody left.
"I'm Nagito Komaeda. Nice to meet you."
He seems nice!
"I'm (Y/N) (L/N). Nice to meet you too!"
He gave you a warm smile.
"I guess I should tell you my talent too."
He paused for a second and his face took on a more disappointed look.
"It's a pretty disappointing talent."
Can't be worse than mine...
"It can't be that bad."
Nagito smiled a bit.
"I'm lucky."
"Lucky?"
"That's my talent. I'm the Ultimate Lucky Student."
He's the Ultimate Lucky Student!?That's... a bit ironic.
"I hope you don't mind me asking but, lucky how?"
"Through a country-wide lottery, Hope's Peak selects one ordinary student randomly to attend the school as the Ultimate Lucky Student. That student just so happened to be me."
A lottery huh? That's pretty interesting actually...
"Are you okay? You seem pretty deep in thought."
You snapped out of it quickly.
"Yeah, uh... I should probably tell you my talent too..."
You said,fingering your (h/c) hair. Nagito seemed really excited to find out your talent.
"I'm basically the opposite of you. I'm the Ultimate Unlucky Student."
Nagito looked away. You thought you saw him look a bit guilty.
"Yeah, I know. It's not really a proper talent is it?"
You laughed slightly.
"No it's not that. I'm sorry!"
"Sorry? For what?"
"It's kinda like I stole your luck."
For some reason a blush crept up to your face.
"No really! Bad luck just finds me."
You rubbed the back of your neck and smiled softly.
"The only plus side is that good stuff seems to happen to people I like or are close to me."
The moment you said this the lucky student's face lit up.
"Wow! That's such an admirable talent! I truly am lucky that I got to meet somebody as special as you!"
Now you blushed.
That's really nice of him but it's not that special!
"T-Thank you but I'm not that special. Also I think your talent is great too!"
He gave you another warm smile. You sat and talked for a bit before he got up to go meet the others, leaving you with the ahoge boy. You got up after a while and walked over to the boy, muttering some stuff. You soon noticed that he started to wake up.You watched as alarm flashed across his face and he stood up.
"Are you okay? You suddenly passed out..."
You asked
"I... Are we... I..."
He looks like he's gonna faint again...
Nagito, who had come back, talked to him and you soon found out his name was Hajime Hinata
.
"Could I you tell us your talent?"
He paused after you said this.
"I can't... remember it."
How? Did he get memory loss when he fainted?
"It's ok. You'll probably remember it soon."
Nagito said. He had already introduced himself so now it was your turn.
"Oh I'm (Y/N) (L/N), Ultimate Unlucky Student."
Hajime looked taken aback.
"Unlucky Student?"
"Yup. Basically means I'm cursed with bad luck..."
You rubbed your arm.Hajime nodded.
"Well let's go meet the others then. They're probably exploring the island."
Nagito said. You nodded and heard three beeping sounds. You realized that this came from the e-handbooks Usami had given out earlier. Apparently by talking to people you would receive Hope fragments. You checked and saw that you had received two, one for Hajime and one for Nagito. Then you guys set off together. There was a map on your e-handbook so navigating was pretty easy.
"Where would you guys like to go first?"
Nagito asked.
"Ummmm." You looked at the map. "Could we check out the airport first?"
Both boys nodded so you went there first. When you entered, you saw that two boys were already there and outside were...
Planes? Does that mean we can leave this island?
Hajime was thinking the exact same thing
"Airplanes? Can't we use those to escape?"
"Nah, that's impossible."
These words came from a boy with pink hair and shark like teeth. You remembered nicknaming him Beanie Boy because of the beanie he was wearing.
"If they were damaged, I could fix'em but it looks like these planes are just for show..."
"For show?"
You asked, tilting your head slightly to the side.
"The engines have been completely removed. Nothing I can do about that."
"Completely removed?"
Hajime said.
"Oh yeah that remind me... We haven't been introduced yet, right?"
Beanie Boy pointed out, motioning to you and Hajime.
"Name's Kazuichi Soda. I'm the Ultimate Mechanic. Nice to meet ya."
Oh so that's why he knew so much about the planes.
