Savannah's P.O.V.

King Jules and Queen Ginger called me in the meeting room and as I was walking there I felt like I was being watched once again. I had this feeling as I was being watched by something or someone and it creeped me out so bad sometimes I was would have to calm myself down in the cleaning closet.

As I looked around I heard a faint sound of breathing. I couldn't place it though but I knew it was there, I just hoped I was right but I wasn't going to be late. I didn't want to let them down so I hurried along.

Just before I got to the door I felt someone behind me and when I turned around it was Embry. His smile took my breath away and I tentatively smiled back then blushed.

Embry smiled at me then I heard him say

“You're so beautiful, did you know that?”

I gasped and backed away from him. Why would he say such a thing? He knew the rules and as the door opened his family looked between us and glared at me. I shook my head and gave him one more last look before I held myself high and walked in the room. After I entered King Jules nodded his head for me to sit across from him and his wife.

Embry took a seat next to me and smiled at his parents. I wondered what was going on here because I wasn't normally invited to the meetings they held for the castle and little town.

His parents looked at one another then Jules nodded.

I didn't understand what they were saying between one another but I didn't have a good feeling about it. I felt wary of what was going to happen, as I tried to re-call on what I could've done wrong King Jules looked at me and said

“Savannah I would like you to start catering just for Embry from now on. We have another employee that will be taking over day bed and day duty.”

“Really? Am I doing that bad of a job or?” I asked them worriedly.

“No you are doing a terrific job but soon Embry will have a ball coming up to see who his Blood Mate will be and someone needs to take of him and make sure he does the right thing to do and clean up after him.”

“Oh.” Is all I said after that because I couldn't think of what else to say.

“Are you up for the task of handling our son?” Queen Ginger asked me, while scrutinizing me with her bright green eyes. Her hair was a deep dark auburn color.

I gulped and nodded but then said “Y-yes ma'am.” very quickly. I made the mistake of looking over at Embry who was smirking at me.

His mother and father scoffed but suddenly Jules shouted at Embry.

“Why are you looking at the servant that way?” Jules face was a tint of light pink meaning he really was angry at Embry.

Embry sighed and rolled his eyes at me then sighed once more before facing his parents. He stood up beside me then pulled me up beside him and wrapped an arm around my waist and I couldn't help but to be shocked and a little scared of this. I didn't understand why he was doing all of this until it hit me.

Could I be his Blood Mate? If I was, we couldn't be together. The Vampiric Blood Laws forbade it so. If you weren't a Pure Blood or come from Royal Blood then you couldn't be on the throne at all, even if you were their Blood Mate.

As I took this in Embry lightly touched my face and smiled at me. I blinked coming back to reality and I only half smiled but to be honest I really was scared now.

“Mother, Father, Savannah here is my Blood Mate. I don't need a ball to find her because I already have. Her blood is so strong it calls to me. Savannah's voice is like an angels and I want to be with her.”

His voice was so soft and generous that I couldn't help but to blush and smile at the same time. No one has ever said nice things to me before so I couldn't help but to whisper

“Thank you.”

Embry kissed my cheek and said

“No thank you my love for finding me. I know I will love you forever-”

Embry didn't get to finish his sentence because I was ripped from his arms and his father had thrown me across the room into the wall.

The next thing I knew Jules had Embry up against the wall pinning him. Jules was using a different language that I couldn't understand but I didn't think it sounded to nice. His mother calmly got out of her chair and walked over to me.

“Savannah I want you to go back to your bedroom and tonight will be the last time you see Embry.”

I was so confused by that statement that I blurted out

“You're going to kill me aren't you?”

“No my dear, he's going to be sent away for a while and when he returns he will have a true Blood Mate.”

“I never knew his feelings towards me until today, I swear.”

“I'm sure you didn't but it still remains the fact that you can not be a princess because of what you are. I'm sorry.”

I didn't know the tears were coming down my face until I felt one go down my cheek. I looked at Embry and the look on his face was pure and utterly anger. He wasn't resisting his father but instead, it was like he was waiting for his father to be done with him.

I whispered “I will see you later, Embry.” I knew only he could've heard what I said. I then got up and my world seemed to spin a little bit, so I had to grasp the wall for support.

staring at his father. I didn't understand what was going on so I tried to creep out but Ginger grabbed my arms and swung me around so that she had both arms around my neck. I was really scared now.

“Embry!” I yelled.

A few seconds later Embry stalked over to his mother and glared at her. Suddenly two men came charging the room but they never got to Embry because all he did was snap his fingers and one of the men went back out the door and the other man went flying out the window.

“Let Savannah go mother, I don't care about the stupid laws. Ever since she came here I have been trying to get to know but every time I try someone would report to you that I was talking or walking with her. I love her and that's all I want to do.”

“I can't let that happen. The Blood Laws forbades it and there is nothing I can do about it. I will let her go on one condition.”

“What condition?” Embry growled at his mother while glaring at her with icily cold stare.

“If you agree to have the ball still and then choose a Blood Mate for yourself. It can't and will not be a Hybrid.”

“And what if I don't agree to those conditions?”

Suddenly everything around me went black and I couldn't feel anything. Although I did hear two things

A very loud cracking noise and

Embry screaming my name out loud.

I didn't know where I was or how I got here but as I sat up groggily I heard whispering and then I felt someone push me down.

My vision started to come back and when everything was in focus I seen Embry with a nurse and my father.

I only half smiled but soon after I felt my head hit the pillow I was getting so drowsy that I thought I heard

“This is for your own good. I promise you that I will love you forever.”

After that everything around me went dark again and I tried to fight it but I couldn't. I didn't know what was going on but I knew with my father around I would be safe.
