Chapter 39: Time To Fight

Aio's POV

It was time I equipped the suit Frozo made for me along with my hero suit on top of it

"Hey Aio how's it going?" I heard I turned around it was Frozo but in his normal form

"pretty good just you know...the war" I told him

"yeah I understand now here" he said and handed me a vial inside a magenta liquid swirled

"what's this" I asked him

"drink it and find out" he told me

"no usually when you tell me to do that it's some vile potion"

"that benefits you now drink" he ordered I did and I was right it tasted horrible but it filled me with calm

"what is this?" I asked him

"I made it to combat Akuyaku so he wouldn't come out during the fight" he told me I nodded

"OK that's great and all but I have a question" I told him

"and the question is?" he replied

"the tip of my inkbrush, where did you get it?" I asked

"oh that I knew that you were bummed over your heirloom so I remade it re-using the brush tip" he told me

"thanks" I simply said he nodded.

"OK so our plan of attack is that I will have a small friend of mine drive the flying truck so marie hop on it and snipe from above and when I give the signal he will fly down and pick up callie and Off the hook" Said Frozo

"Next you will play the Calamari Inkantation to turn the tide of battle hopefully in even more of our favor and finally Aio uses the enhanced SHOGUN so we can deliver the finishing blow now everyone got that?" He finished we all nodded

"now they will probably come at us from the plaza instead of the square because that's where they won't expect us to be now everyone let's go and set up defenses" Frozo said he then started walking to the plaza still it's a shame he can't be himself around us it would also definitely give us an edge if he could.

We were 5 minutes away when the ground started to shake

"HURRY THEY'RE HERE!" Frozo shouted as he sprinted away.

The scene that greeted us was one that I would never forget the sky was a cloudy gray and it was snowing lightly and before us there was a literal army of Octolings, octarians, sanitized octarians and salmonids.

And above them all was the mega weapon it was basically just a black flying cube which had an opening inside in which sat DJ Octavio in his pool of ink with his wasabi sticks on his turntable above that opening was a closed off area and above that sat TarTar with a huge splatling and I had no idea where the salmonid queen was but she was probably inside it.

"Well it seems they actually came to stop us, what a foolish mistake now. FALL BEFORE OUR COMBINED MIGHT!!! ATTACK!!!!" Octavio shouted and they charged.

The megaweapon stayed back playing the hypnotic beats that kept the enemy army under control

I wasn't sure why they held back but I charged along with the rest of the splatoon the truck hadn't come yet so Marie fought on the ground with the rest of my friends. I splatted the enemy left, right, front, center, and behind with slash after slash launching typhoons of ink at the enemy in quick succession.

Octavia was also doing great. It seemed as though she was able to open her brella right before getting hit and splatting whoever had tried to hit her and then literally smacking her umbrella against someone or their weapon and shooting them down.
