She cuddled real close
and whispered dark tales
of how one day hope
could not make her stay
of how one day
she'd fade away
she mumbled her fears
he'd caress her hair
and wipe away crystal tears
he was always there
and her heart had begun to burn
and her skin had begun to tingle
but she was still the cursed human girl
and her ghost wouldn't remain to linger
she'd fall into a dark death
she'd fade even as a memory
an ice sculpture would replace
all of her deepest fantasies
but the prince kept telling how he'd save
what was left of her human soul
he kept telling her to be brave
for she would never be alone
he caressed her face
she kissed his scars
she had found her happy place
right underneath the stars
