TEMERIA 1243

After having dinner in a tavern, I went to see how Geralt was doing in our room when I saw the innkeep banging on the door.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked.

"It's been three days and I need payment," Innkeep said.

Eventually, he opened the door as I saw Geralt covered up by his sheet with a prostitute which I could never unsee now.

"Shxt!" I groaned.

I left outside to check on Dorian when Geralt came out as well to check on Roach.

"Don't judge me," he said.

"Is that towards me or Roach?" I asked.

"Both"

I rolled my eyes as I grabbed a few things when I overheard his conversation with the innkeep.

"Why exactly are you going to Temeria?" I asked.

"First off, you and I are going to Temeria to make payment so we can leave with Dorian and Roach without a problem or did you forget that it was our room," Geralt argued.

"You tell me, I wasn't the one in bed with a prostitute," I mentioned.

We were off to Temeria as I sensed him glaring at me.

"What are we hunting?" I asked.

"A vukodlak," Geralt stated.

"That's just lovely," I sighed.

"Are you really that bothered that I actually had sex with someone?" He questioned.

"No, I'm bothered that you had sex on the bed we shared the past three nights.....it's even more disgusting to think that you've possibly done it before behind my back," I scoffed.

We made it to listen to the miners who were arguing on what they should do when one suggested to kill their king.

"You can't kill the vukodlak so you decide to kill your king? Great plan," Geralt said.

"Another fvckin' witcher! Your kind already swindled us once"

"I take payment after the job is done and for a third of the price. An apology, from my guild to yours," he stated.

"The king's men are coming," I whispered.

"And if you can't kill it?"

"Then I die," Geralt answered.

"They're here," I whispered.

The king's men came to drive off the miners and basically kick us out of Temeria. The soldiers were escorting us out of the city when they suddenly fell off their horses.

"Someone's watching us," I stated.

Geralt took out his sword as we turned to a sorceress who wanted our help. We went to Triss Merigold's chamber where she explains how she came to Temeria.

"Vukodlaks are freak mutations, they can't be cured," Geralt stated.

"It's not a vukodlak otherwise Miss Merigold wouldn't need our help to save it," I said.

"You're quite intelligent, Miss Valyria," Triss stated.

We went to a room where Triss kept the bodies of those who have fallen to this creature.

"Two thousand orens if you can tell me what exactly killed these people," she said.

Geralt looked around when he saw the body of the witcher who supposedly fled with the people's coin.

"You didn't wanted the people to know it bested a witcher.....you let them believe he fled with their coin," Geralt said.

"You two clearly weren't acquainted," Triss huffed.

He was checking to see what organs was missing while Triss and I watched when I sensed her curiosity.

"His heart's missing along with his liver; there is only one creature I know is that picky an eater," he stated.

"A striga???"

"Strigas are old wives' tales," Triss said.

"They're very rare," I corrected.

"The only way to make one is through a curse," Geralt added.

"Someone wanted Adda dead," Triss said.

"Mhm, but the curse didn't stop with Adda; it turned her daughter into a monster," he revealed.

"Her daughter???"

"Strigas are females," I mentioned.

"This striga's a princess," Geralt sighed.

We were on our way to see the king when Geralt stopped me from following them.

"What are you-"

"I need you to go see the abandoned castle and I'll meet you there," he whispered.

"Are you sure???" I asked quietly.

Geralt pulled out the crystal necklace he gave me before I left Kaer Morhen.

"You're still wearing this," he smirked.

"It was a gift from someone who cared enough to make me feel normal and useful for a change," I reminded.

"I'll take care of this myself....I trust you can figure out a way into the abandoned castle so wait for me there," Geralt said.

"Alright, I'll see you there," I said.

I was off to the abandoned castle as I watched the guards and noticed how much they fear this place when I noticed my crystal necklace glowing.

"How was your talk with the king?" I asked.

"It went well....I was ordered to leave as usual," Geralt stated.

"Two guards but they're practically cowards," I scoffed.

"You were told to leave Temeria," Triss said.

Triss and Geralt continue their conversation as I gave him a stone which he threw to the door, scaring off the guards.

"What brave soldiers Temeria has," I teased.

"Ria, lead the way," Geralt said.

We went inside the abandoned castle as we were searching for answers.
