It's been two months since I started my cafe, and it's going really well to be honest. Ma and pa have stayed in contact and we see each other every few weeks or so. Lucy and I are still going strong, and we're currently at Laura and Marco's wedding. As Marco's best man makes a slightly drunken speech about love, I look at Lucy, wondering if it's accurate to me.

Lucy's absolutely tabled, he looks like hell. It's fitting, I suppose.

My eyes flit over to Jayden and Leo, who are holding hands under the table thinking no one will notice. I roll my eyes. They're so childish.

The best man sits down. I look back at Lucy, who is either very out of it or asleep.

'Lucy?' I ask.

'Yeah, what's up?' He slurs.

'Oh, okay. I thought you might have fallen asleep.'

'Not asleep, just thinking.'

'About what?'

'I'm gonna hand in my resignation tomorrow.'

'You are?'

'Yeah, Martin will do my job way better than I can.'

'You're so drunk.'

'I'm sober enough to know I need to leave that job.' He smiles. It's a very, very, drunken smile, but I smile back.

I reach out and grab his hand, still smiling. 'I love you.'

'I love you too.' I know he means it, even though he's absolutely pissed.

He leans in and kisses me.

'Hey, it's our fucking wedding, don't steal the spotlight!' Laura yells drunkenly from across the room.

'Yeah, now get over here and dance, huh?' Marco shouts, equally intoxicated.

I laugh and pull Lucy to his feet, going over to them.

I'm so happy.
