I layed in the hospital bed as I have been for the past week. The TV was off so all I heard was the soft ticks of the clock.
Behind me was a window. The curtains drawn back to reveal white snowflakes slowly sink to the ground.
The door swung open and I directed my attention to the nurse who had a bottle of pills and a cup of water.
I sat up as she handed me a pill and the cup of water. My right arm was broke, so it was difficult doing it with my left.
The nurse threw away my water cup, picked up the pills and quietly left.
