Long time no see! Regardless, I took some time off to pursue different courses but now, I'm back, with this piece.
People find themselves in a dilemma where we have to decide, whether to fall madly for a person or keep a safe distance to maintain our normality. It is a frightening decision. This piece talks about a person who faced that decision and the thoughts that went through their head. As always, your feedback will be greatly appreciated!

This can go either way, I can swim or sink

But there's no way that I am staying there, to make sure of what you think.

This life has been plenty, but it has not been enough

These eyes stayed open for a chance, but now I can finally blink.

The stream ahead might be shaky, the past seems to pull me back.

Paths that had been clear till now, had already begun to crack.

These cracks were seen, ignored and left alone; they were fixed with neglect.

But the path is broken, the stream is flowing, and this change has been quick.

Adventure that bellowed us, caught me in a swirl.

Last day of the week, was shining as a pearl.

In a sea of infinite drops, all those that were shed

Tears apart the mind and the heart, and leaves me on the brink.

The fall was there, though not as steep as we imagined.

Teetering on the edge, leaving to be quarantined.

Will the sea meet the man, or will there be distance.

The fall is all there is now, and the world can go and shrink.

This would only go one way, I will surely sink.

But I couldn't just stand there, knowing that you wouldn't think.
