Hello! I'm going to be breaking down exactly how I make covers in this little tutorial, as requested by someone!

I'll start off by showing you the cover I'm going to be breaking down.

This is what my screen looks like when I'm working on something. Ignore the Photoshop at the bottom, I am working on another project on there separate from this one.

TOOLS:

PicMonkey

Pixabay (for images)

Adobe Creative Cloud (for one image that I got a long time ago)

Getty Images (From PicMonkey) (for one image)

TIME:

This took approximately 52 minutes for me to complete, with an additional 15 minutes of searching for images.

While there are covers that can take me up to 2-4 hours (or a few days) to finish, I normally stay away from spending too much time on a cover unless I am getting paid to create it. A lot of the time, finding the right images and making them fit is the hardest part of the cover-creating process.
