You see her smile and laugh,

But you don't know how she really feels.

You see her talk to others,

But you don't know that she doesn't want to be nearby them.

You see her giggle,

But you don't know what she hides inside.

You don't know what she puts up with,

Day after day.

She hides her feelings,

Afraid of being judged.

She spends each night,

Wondering why she is loathed by many.

She hides her scars,

Not wanting to show the world every lost battle.

She's in a war with the world,

Every single day.

She knows she's losing,

And is close to surrendering.

She feels lonliness peirce her soul,

But doesn't do a thing about it.

She's close to giving up for good.

Not yet.
