Chapter 1: Stepping Into a Journey

"Ladies and gentlemen welcome to Galar! Many sights to see and many Pokémon to be catched. The wild area is a great place to train with many Pokémon. If you are to go to the wild area make sure to stay clear of a pink bear." The people clapped and cheered as the train came to a stop. I had tilted my head a bit and rubbed the back of my head

'A pink bear? Weird...' I thought. I stepped out of the train and immediately saw a crowd outside of the station. I held my Pokeball close to me and kept walking, occasionally bumping into some shoulders and politely excusing myself. Once I got threw the sea of people I heard a voice from the middle of all the people.

"Welcome people who are visiting or coming back to the beautiful Galar region! I happened to get lost from my destination so I figured that I may as well come and say hi. Even through I barley knew how to get to here.." the male smiled sheepishly, earning some laughs from the crowd.

"Anyway! I hope all of you have a champion time here and take your time to go to the restaurants in this town! Very yummy!!" He did a pose and the people cheered and clapped. He ran off as the crowd slowly disintegrated. I smiled at how his cape flowed, he looked like a child dressing up as a hero. I shook my head and continued walking, looking around the small town called Wedgehurst. Looking at the sunset I smiled a bit and and start to continue my walk to the wild area.

"It's dangerous to be out here at night." A voice came behind from me. I whipped my head around, seeing the same guy that was in the middle of the crowd not too long ago.

"I'm sure I can handle it! Thank you for the warning though!" I responded and smiled at him. The male smiled softly back. You started to study his features. His purple hair was long and looked somewhat fluffy, and he had a cap. He had beautiful yellow eyes, like a coin that had been polished several times. He wore what looks to be a gym uniform with leggings underneath his shorts. And his cape flowed softly in the wind, making him look somewhat handsome. I shook my thoughts away as he spoke again

"You must be new here! Welcome. Galar is a sight to see."

"Is it obvious that I haven't been here before?" I smiled softly and rubbed the back of my head

"Oh i just assumed since you have a bit of an accent." He replied. I facepalmed and shook my head at my now dumb question. He chuckled at my reaction

"Allow me to escort you then if you'd allow me." He said. I thought about for a second then looked back up at him.

"If it's not a problem I wouldn't mind company at all." The male walked next to me and smiled more. We both began to walk together along the path.

"So what's your name?" He asked. I blinked softly and looked up at him. I blushed in embarrassment

"Oh sorry!! My name is Y/n!" I responded and put my hands behind my back.

"What a pretty name! My name is Leon!" I blushed at the compliment. 'Pretty...' I thought of how he said it so smoothly. The newly identified character whom held the name Leon looked at me.

"Where are you headed?"

"I'm headed to the Wild Area." I responded, my blush fading away. Leon looked at me with a bit of concern as he slowed his walking speed so he could talk beside me.

"Your not going to stop at an Inn?" I shrugged while looking at the map of the Galar region. Leon stopped, making you stop as well and look up at him.

"You must be tired from your trip here. I insist you get rest. If you want I can rent a room for you." He offered.

"Leon, I wouldn't come here without any money I'm not stupid, so don't worry. I'm just trying to start filling in my Pokèdex as soon as I can." I explained. Leon rested his hand on his chin and looked up

"Ah so you catch Pokémon. But then, why do you only have one Pokèball attached to your waist? If you don't mind me asking if corse!"

"I just prefer to have one Pokémon on my team that's all." Leon started to pick your brain with questions to answer.

"Oh really? What's your Pokémon?"

"Mmmm I'll show you sometime. But for now maybe it'll intrigue you enough to come back." Leon laughed

"Of corse. I can't wait to see them. So you say your a Pokèdex filler?"

"Yes I am"

"Well how many regions have you visited?"

"Three so far! This region would be my fourth!"

"Ah so you have a lot of Pokémon caught! Have you really caught all of each Pokèmon in the regions?"

"All the ones that I can catch without getting into trouble! Many Pokèballs have been lost along the way" we both shared a laugh.

"I admire your patience. It takes awhile to catch every single Pokémon in a region. I haven't even caught all of them and I have lived here my whole live! It's impressive how you have managed to catch all from 3 regions in just a short amount of time." I blushed again at a compliment and rubbed the back of my head

"It's nothing really! I just really love Pokémon that's all!" I smiled sheepishly. Leon patted my back

"Well then your love for Pokémon is quite impressive!"

Before we knew it we reached the wild area. Leon looked around and so did I. It was breathtaking. The way he smiled and how he-... I mean the sight the beautiful. The moon reflected off of the water as I already saw Pokémon playing around in the grass. Leon's pocket suddenly light up and started to vibrate. He looked down and then at me.

"Please excuse me for a moment." He pressed a button and held his Rotom Phone. After the conversation on the phone he looked at me

"I gotta go! I forgot all about the meting!! Oleana is gonna give me an earful again... it was very nice meeting you! You have a Rotom Phone don't you?" He asked in a hurry. I giggled and nodded softly. He gave you a slip of paper and started to run off

"The paper has my number on it! Text me or call if if you need something! I can't wait to meet your Pokémon!" He yelled back at you. You nodded and waved.

He was going the wrong way probably..
