One Mans Trash

I'm but a man:
trash tendencies
But I am a man
treasured truths
This person
who's depression has destroyed
and influenced
actions and reactions
fractioned time and healed ideas
its me
Me who's
ears holds the weight of the world
on it's drums
banged by the sound of rumors
and secrets
and those trying to dig them out
out of me
Me that holds the door open for all
and pulls the chair out for those who
need to sit down,
be humble
humbling experiences
find their way to me
see
i let people in too much
and not everyone needs to sit at
my table
But I'm so accepting
not expecting of anything
everything is something
something is nothing
and yet and still
these trash tendencies are a
treasured truth:
I am just a man
trying to see if I'm
more gold than garbage
