Amari laid in the hospital  bed for what felt like hours;  anxious, upset and impatient before Kevin finally showed up

He rushed into the room frantic and more disheveld than Amari could ever remember seeing him

He threw his body on her in a firerce hug

"Mari!,  I'm so happy your safe"

Amari smiled when his body engulfed her own. She did  not particularly miss Kevin, but she could admit it was nice to see him again

"Hi Kevin"

He remembered himself and quickly moved off her,  looking at her with  a sad expression on his face

"I..I am so sorry Mari about what happened to you. My department....I threatened to expose everything we were working on and the dangers of it if they didn't help me get you back. You know i would never...I should've never let you come to my lab..I-"

"Kevin"  Amari interrupted 

she only cared that he could  confirm what she hoped wasn't a dream. She needed to know 100% if Orion and everything she could remember were true memories

"What exactly happened to me Kevin? My memory is foggy"

He looked at her confused then realization widened his pretty brown eyes that she used to adore

"O I'm sorry. I..um...You got transported far back in time; if your clothing was any indication. When i brought you back you were unconscious with a severe gash in your shoulder. I brought you here immediately to get help and  recover."

Amari sighed in relief. She grinned thinking of Orion. It truly  wasn't all a dream

"How did i get back here Kevin? did you bring me back?" she rasped 

He looked away shame coloring his pale cheeks

"Yea. i had them keep the channel that took you open. All day and all night hoping you would pass through it again and it would bring you back. Im so Sorry Mari-"

"Can i get back again,  to that time?"  Amari asked.  Again interrupting his guilty ramblings

Kevin stared at her astonished, sputtering 

"I.I...I..Um...I suppose so but i am not sure why-"

"I need to go back Kevin"

Silence engulfed the room as he simply watched her with no words

"The baby". he murmured mostly to himself 

"Baby?"  Another memory suddenly plowed into Amari 

Her head spun and her hands trembled. she was pregnant! She remembered now. when she was with the enemy clan she found out. Yes. And They were working with that  clan, she remembered, to betray Orion. The names were still fuzzy but she remembered that much

She glanced down at  her stomach area hidden beneath the thick hospital blankets, wondering how she didn't remember or notice it sooner. She could see it slightly raised  it wasn't as big as she expected. Amari wanted to reach down and touch it but her body still felt too weak to move.

She attempted to lift her arm anyway. Kevin watching her struggle picked her arm up and laid her hand  on her belly over the covers

Amari teared up touching  her baby, She rubbed as much as she could manage, her hand moving achingly slow over the bump

"They say you are almost 6 months and it is a boy. A very healthy boy"  Kevin supplied helpfully. "I made sure they ran full diagnostic on you both and administered the best care available  in this entire hospital, Mari"
