9 - the book, the brother and prim's adventures

Before Y/n knew it she had a play date with the princess, honestly it all happened in a flash she barely had any chance to talk let alone begin on talking to Athy about her dilemma, but she was just glad she had a chance to see her again. In the end she ended up being escorted out of the library by Felix himself, watching as Athanasia's figure got smaller and smaller as she and Felix walked off into the distance, Y/n sighed, this was going to be harder than she originally thought

"Are you sure you don't need help with those books Mr Knight?" Feeling uncomfortable using Felix's name she settled for another, though it still didn't feel normal to her. Then again this was a fictional world she was in nothing was normal.

"It's no problem princess." Felix said with a small chuckle, Y/n felt he was somewhat telling a lie though as the man seemed nervous. It was no wonder though. The books towered over him, threateningly wobbling at Felix's movements, Y/n was slightly irked by Felix's reluctance to let her help but knew he would refuse even if she begged him to let her. Really, the poor man was too kind. Y/n sighed, almost deciding to give up,before a idea struck her.

"Felix," Y/n said catching his attention, Felix glanced at her for a second before looking back to the books trying not to drop them "I'd like to read a few books while we are on our way back." She said with a smile

"A-Ah of course, here princess" he said handing her two books to hold, Y/n giggled "more please."
Felix handed her another "More."

Felix handed the smaller girl one more book, and Y/n smiled

"The trip will surely be quite long please give me a few more" she said taking advantage and grabbing more from the pile

Felix stood there dumbfounded "E-eh? But princess.. if I give you any more you won't have any hands to read..."

Y/n let out a low laugh at this

"Did I stutter?" Y/n smiled sweetly, yet Felix felt he was facing a duplicate of Claude himself... with a shiver he proceeded to hand her more books like a puppy obeying orders.

And so the two continued down the halls, each holding an equal amount of books. Felix didn't even realise he'd been tricked....

The two continued down the hallway, Felix making most of the talk as Y/n listened intently, Turning a corner suddenly a flash of red entered Y/n's vision knocking Felix to his feet, the books flying everywhere, Y/n stood there in shock for a second before realising who it was Felix had bumped into..

"Ahhh!!!"

"I-I Im so sorry!!"

Noticing the owner of the voice Y/n almost laughed, they'd finally ran into her one and only maid..

"Primrose?" Felix muttered, watching as the smaller brushed down her skirt avoiding eye contact as always.

Y/n stopped. Eh? Why does Felix know Prim???

"Ah!" Prim looked up quickly and beamed, her face returning to its original shade unlike the deathly pale from before. But even then she had stray twigs in her hair, her dress all mucky for some reason, Y/n wondered what sort of adventure she had this time..

"Brother!" She called out lunging into Felix's arms

B-b-b-brother?!!!!!!

"P-prim?" Y/n called out watching as primrose clung onto Felix like a koala..

Primrose looked up in shock, her face turning bright red. Almost as red as her curly locks "p-princess!!" Primrose stood up straight in a hurry, seemingly embarrassed at being seen in such a state. And well, her embarrassment was understandable, she looked like she had been through a hurricane for gods sake!

"I've been looking everywhere for you! I was so worried.." Prim fussed over Y/n, quickly dashing to her side and making sure she was all right

"Are you okay?"

"I hope you weren't too afraid, I'm so sorry princess!" Afraid? Prim you are aware of your state right? You're clearly more afraid than me! Y/n thought, briefly thinking about scolding the girl for getting separated. Y/n decided not to though, after all Prim looked like she almost lost her soul, she didn't want her to worry about it too much

"It's alright! Mr Knight helped me find my way to the library in the end." Y/n smiled calming the girl as she clung to her side,

"A-Ah right I suppose I should explain.. this is my older brother Felix, though I suppose you two have been introduced already." Prim smiled gesturing to him, Y/n was shocked but smiled in joy "It's no wonder Felix is so kind! It seems to run in the family." Y/n giggled,

Prim blushed even more, Y/n hadn't been sure if her face could get anymore red but even so it did "Y-you flatter me princess.." she said burying her face in her palms, Y/n laughed lightly

"So the Princess was the young lady you spoke so enthusiastically about Prim!" Felix beamed,

"H-hey!"

"Prims talks a lot about you in her letters" Felix laughed

"Oh?" Y/n said. Raising a brow in amusement as she watched Prim trying to cover her brothers mouth, but was too small to reach even on her tippy toes

"I was beginning to think the person she spoke about was imaginary." Felix said with a chuckle seemingly oblivious to Prims embarrassment, or perhaps he was teasing her. Y/n honestly couldn't tell "it's truly been a while since we last saw one another"

"Im glad to see she has someone so lovely to keep her company though." Felix said with a relieved smile, Prim gave up attempting to shut him up

"Oh not at all, Prim was the one who truly saved me."

"Without her I don't know what I'd do."

It was true as well, Y/n had nobody in the cold, dark palace before Prim, she was glad she wasn't alone, she was glad she didn't end up like Philippa despised by the maids, and neglected to the point of almost dying.

"That's not true prin-"

"It is." Y/n stopped her "seriously, Im really glad we are friends Prim." Y/n smiled

Prim looked as if she exploded in joy at that moment "Princess thinks we are friends?"

Y/n played dumb "we are, aren't we?"

"W-well only if princess wishes to be so.."

Felix watched the two with a fond look, before taking a look at the grandfather clock by the three, he chuckled as the girls babbled amongst one another. "Let's head back to the palace shall we?" He said, only now realising the time.

Y/n beamed "Yeah! I'll tell you all about what you missed while you and Prim were apart." Grabbing onto Prim and Felix's hand the trio left the building

- imma edit this more later maybe to add more details, I tried to focus less on how descriptive my writing was this time and focus more on what's actually happening this chap.. UHH idk if this works better but I found it easier! Im going to try make some sort of schedule for updating though I doubt I'll be able to stick to it regularly ^^ even so I hope you will continue to read despite such a slow pacing, anyways thanks for reading!!
