I waited, letting my eyes explore all around the cafeteria. There were bodies of all shapes and sizes, each to their own tables. I found myself watching the nerds, with their bulky backpacks, scruffy hair, and clashing outfits. They were exchanging answers on various pieces of work and discussing all sorts of things.

            "So that's your type, sugar?"

It was the Liam-Hemsworth look alike, Brent.

           "Haha, not really." I shrugged.

"Then what is your type?" He edged closer to me, clearing the gap between us.

"I don't seem to have one."

"Mysterious, I like that." Suddenly, I was close enough to smell the mint coming off from his breath.

"BRE-ENT!" A girl's loud shriek pierce my ears.

This girl was the epitome of rich chic. She had shampoo commercial hair, was clad from head to toe in brand names, and had a face that was only further enhanced by makeup.

And she was charging at full speed towards Brent.

"Hey, baby." She eyed him sexily and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Alina." He forced a smile and wiped the lipstick off his cheek while she was chatting with her lady in waiting. Her mouth flew into an O of surprise.

"Is that the new girl?" She pointed at me with a French-manicured finger.

"Hi, I'm Alicia. Ah-lee-cee-ah...like that." She exaggerated each part of her name very slowly.

"And I'm Diana." The lady in waiting gave me her most charming smile.

"Shut up, Dee! Don't speak until I introduce you! You know the rules."

Diana flipped her hair in irritation.

"I can speak English." I couldn't help but get a little annoyed.

"Well, thanks for the note. Anyways, this is Diana and this is Chloe, my personal assistant." She pointed at a meek, freshman figure standing next to Diana.

I couldn't help but felt a little sorry for Chloe, who looked like she was about to tear up. She must have been worshipping Alicia for ages.

"Alicia, you have an appointment with Barbara after school," Chloe said.

"No, make it four-thirty. Get me a Voss water with my salad, pronto! If you don't bring it to me by the time the late bell rings, I'm firing you. "

"Yes, ma'am!" She gave Alicia a little salute and was off.

           "CHLOE!"

Chloe paused and turned around.

            "I appreciate you."

"Anyways, the bell's about to ring in a little, so toodles, darling. And by the way..."

She got close, whispering in my ear.

"Brent's mine, so keep your claws off him or you'll be the one gettin' scratched." She blew me a kiss and walked away.
