Forced to be a robot
in a society that feels that
everyone can do everything
all at once
without the slightest struggle
Forced to be a machine.
In a world that thinks
no task is too hard,
no task is too gruelling
to undertake
Forced to be a lion
being able to tackle the greatest things
and only able to be stopped
by a bullet straight in the head
or the heart
Forced to be taken down
by what I can’t see
because what I can see
Is preoccupying my life and mind
and I’m not allowed to let go of it.
