"What I fear"

Hail to the solstice sky,
Our dark days is yet to smile.
As we welcome a new breeze,
I can feel my heart trembling deep.
Deep in the woods, oh! what's inside?
Dangerous,  malevolent creatures.
The deep voice of the thunder,
Unearthing from nowhere.
The blinding beauty of the lightning,
Striking from the deepest clouds.
The childish tantrums of the storm,
Lavishing all of these wonders.
But that is not what I fear.
The storm is just nothing,
Compared to the darkest clouds I've been.
If there's something I fear,
It's hurting you and causing you pain.
I don't want to welcome you in my world,
Because if hurting you means everything.
Then I'm willing to do so,
Just to not let it happen.
I'll not let happen what I sadly fear.
