Brandon: Hey Nikki!
Me: SQUEEEEE I can't wait for the new year!
Brandon: Me neither.
The countdown starts and everyone waits for the fireworks.
Brianna+Mom+Dad: 10!9!8!7!6!5...
Brandon: But there's one last thing I have to do before the year ends.
4!3!...
Nikki: What?
Brandon smirks.
Brandon: This.
He puts his hands on my face.
2!1! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
At the exact same moment the fireworks start exploding, I feel Brandon's warm and soft lips press against mine.
His protective arms wrap around me in a caring embrace. When we part, I start giggling.
Brandon hoists me up in the air, spinning me all around.
Me: Happy new year Brandon!
Brandon: Happy new year, Nikki!
