My Own Science (Dr Stone Senku x reader)

The Stone War

During the passing few days, you spent time with Tsukasa whenever he had some free time. He'd show you around, take you sightseeing and even teach you basic survival skills (most of them you already knew from Senku but ssssh).
Anytime you'd leave or came back, you'd feel Hyouga staring at your back. It made you super nervous to be around him. And it didn't help when Ukyo told you about how he killed his underlings and said it was Senku's doing when he came back. Now *that* made you furious.

Speaking of Ukyo, the two of you would talk from time to time. He's a chill dude, though a bit easy on the compliments.

Today, Taiju, Yuzuriha and Nikki told you they'd gather everyone by the cellphone.
"Roger that!" you nodded.

You went to see Tsukasa, he did promise he'd show you something cool yesterday. He gladly took you to somewhere in the forest, picking up some herbs and berries on the way. Then you both sat down behind a bush, looking over a little clearing in silence.
"Um... what exactly are we waiting for?"
"Ssssh." he whispered, smiling. "Patience."

You slightly frowned and looked back at the clearing. A while passed, you glanced at him, his gaze not losing focus. You sighed, figuring it'd be plenty of time for the others to get on with their plan. You were startled when he suddenly but softly gasped. He gently wrapped his arm around your shoulders then pulled you closer, pointing forward.
Your heart beat faster, but given that, every time you two hang out together there was at least one moment similar to this, you became used to it. Or at least, you hope you will be.

Narrowing your eyes, you stared at the spot he was pointing at. Walking in the clearing was a deer. You eyes widen and then went bigger when you saw another one following it. Wait, three. Four? Wait a second!
"It's a herd of deers." Tsukasa whispered. "They come here to drink from the stream." he showed you his hand, full of herbs and berries. "I found out that they really like those. Take some."
You took a few of them.

"You feed them?"
"From time to time."
'He IS Tarzan! He is one with nature!'
"Now, be very quiet." he continued. "They might be used to me, but they'll get scared if you make an abrupt movement."
"I'll be careful." you nodded.

He walked towards them, despite his height, he could be very quiet. You followed closely behind him. You watched as he extended a hand towards one of the deers, offering it some berries. The animal smelled his hand, then the food and ate it. He gestured for you to come closer.
"You can pet it while it eats."
"Really?"
"I've done it before, it's safe."
Hesitantly, you stood beside him and carefully caressed the deer's neck. Your face lit up in wonder and it made him smile.
"It's soft~." you whispered.
He noticed another one curiously staring at the two of you.
"Try feeding that one." he pointed at it.
You turned to face the animal. You slowly took a step forward and just as slowly extended your hand, making it as flat as possible to avoid any biting. The animal came closer and closer. It sniffed your hand. It opened its mouth.

"Tsukasa~!" a distant voice yelled.
The deers ran away.
"No~!" you whispered, raising a hand towards them.
"It's okay (Y/n)." he patted your shoulder. "You'll get them next time. Let's go, it sounds important."
You nodded, but you could tell that he was just as disappointed as you.

At the edge of the forest was a warrior that you recognize as being with Yo. He held his eye stone mask.
"The...The primitive prisoner broke out of his cell. Yo ran after him and he really tried everything to stop him but," he raised the stone mask. "he fell into the waterfall."
'That doesn't sound like him to die so heroically.' you skeptically thought. 'Plus he doesn't sound like the kind of guy to die for a cause.'

Tsukasa took the stone mask, and held it close. You were surprised to see a look of sadness on his face.
"Thank you."
The warrior nodded and walked away. Tsukasa started walking, with you walking alongside him.
"He may have not been the most honorable." he said. "But he was one of us..."
'Man, now I'm sad because you're sad!'
