You decide to leave the party that Jack took you to.

"Have fun flirting with him?" Jack asks as you leave the party. You slow down but he just keeps walking without you.

"What?" You ask with a laugh. When you realise he's not going to wait you catch up to him. "What're you talking about Jack?"

He keeps walking down the empty, dark street so you're slowly realising that this is a serious thing. And you know it's going to end in an argument.

"Jack, can you stop walking and face me?" You ask pushing his shoulder around so he's facing you. He looks angry so you step back. "What's your problem?"

"My problem is that you were flirting with that guy while I was right there. Remember me? Your boyfriend." He snaps back.

"I wasn't flirting with him, Jack!" You scoff but he doesn't care what you have to say. He walks off again. "You're such a fucking idiot. Stop walking away when we need to talk about things."

"I'm walking away so that I don't say anything that'll hurt you because right now I have so many things I want to say." He says stopping to look back at you.

"Fine! Say them! Right to my face." You test him. He just stands there in his vest looking at you. "Come on. You say you've got shit to say about me so say it to my face."

"You're drunk." He scoffs.

"And who's fault is that?" You ask. "You're the one who dragged me to this stupid fucking party in the first place-"

"I didn't make you drink. Did I force it down your throat? It was your fucking choice." He replies. You stand there looking at him to see what he's trying to play at.

"Seriously?" You ask. "You're seriously going to stand there and say that you had nothing to with me getting drunk? You're unbelievable."

"I'm unbelievable?" He asks walking closer to you. "You're the one who's got all these guys hanging off of you like a fucking prostitute."

"So you're jealous?" You asks. "Is this about your, your insecurities? Because-"

"This has nothing to do with my insecurities. I didn't even think about any of my insecurities. And yeah, maybe I was jealous." He admits. "I was jealous that all these strangers were getting attention from my girlfriend and I wasn't."

You don't know what to say that won't hurt his feelings or something. "Why is it always like this?" You whisper to yourself but he hears you.

"Always like what?" He asks.

"Like this! Us arguing!" You reply. "This is bullshit. It makes our relationship look like shit to other people. Look at those people watching us right now!"

"Who the fuck cares what other people think? It's not their relationship it's ours! It only matters what you and I think." He says.

"Yeah well I think it's shit right now-" you reply.

"Shit?" He asks in between you talking.

"Real fucking shit." You finish. You look away from him and breathe in the fresh air. "It's fucking shit!" You yell out to the world.

"I fucking agree!" He yells at you. "Which means that we should just fucking end it. Right now."

You didn't expect him to say that. Your mouth is slightly open with surprise. You don't actually think your whole relationship is bad. Just the arguing parts... which happen frequently.

"W-wait. No. I don't-" you begin to protest.

"Oh so you don't want that now?" He asks. "See this is why it isn't working anymore. You always disagree with everything I say. Okay- this relationship was filled with... lust not love."

You stay silent but your eyes are teared up.

"I'm doing this for the both of us. We should just take a break for a while. When we think it's time- if we do- then maybe we'll get back together." He suggests. "We just need some time apart so that-"

"Oh fuck that, man. You don't have to say words to make it sound better. I'm just going to translate what you're saying." You say almost sarcastically. "We're breaking up. Okay cool? See you fucking later."

You walk away while Jack just stands there with his jaw clenched.
